It's a cinch Denim skirt

Joann's Had a sale this weekend denim on sale for 7.99  YES!!

So I bought 3 yards enough to make about three skirts! 

So I went to work and made the first skirt last night my It's a sinch skirt! 

I started out with two panels : 

1. across the top 28" 

2. top hem to bottom hem 28 1/2 or 29 " ( I couldn't get an exact measurement )

The strip of denim bellow the skirt panels was extra I tried to use for pockets... but I wasn't brave enough 

I did a double 1/2 " seam on either side of the denim . 

Then I did the casing ( I made a inch wide casing for  3/4 inch elastic)

Sewing the casing

Did a half inch bottom hem with out raw edges. threaded my elastic and sewed it up , sewed shut the casing and walla! all done!!!! Just in time to wear to church!! I love my skirt ! Its falls about mid-calf and with some fleece leggings and my snow boots the 10 degree weather and snow didn't faze me!

Latter I hope to make a four panel skirt we'll see.......
